Tag's IntroductionAnother couple of years have gone by and humans still haven't figured much out. I'll never stop scratching my head concerning your species. I'll never stop scratching my head concerning fleas, but at least fleas understand they're a small part of a whole. You, I'm afraid, still think you run the whole show. I sent Joe & Trish's dogs (Gracie&Austin) a tape of Laura & Pat and they telepathically convinced them to invite us to Memphis and feed us and record us. Bitchin' food. What a pad. After Memphis we recorded with Ron. He doesn't have a dog, but he gave me some of his macaroni once and he likes to sail. We decided to call the album Hell's Kitchen after the little restaurant in Kensington Market where we hung when we weren't recording. We could have called it lots of other things but Hell's Kitchen let me eat my dog food sitting at a table like all the other customers. They didn't care if Laura and Pat had much money either. What good's money? You can't eat it. Money doesn't rock&roll. Sometimes life can be hell...but then there's usually food and eating. Even in hell ya gotta eat. In the summer of '94 we ate at Hell's Kitchen. Taste you next time Tag We were able to record this album because there's still people who believe in rock&roll as a way of life, not as a way of hype. We never could have done it without them. Well, maybe we could, but it would have taken 30 years.
